The concept of Tappers Café drew its inspiration from Malaysia’s colonial heritage and the popular “snack bars” of the late 60s and early 70s where Hainanese chefs whipped out irresistibly delicious local and western cuisine in a sober colonial air-cooled setting.

Apac Star Food Systems Sdn Bhd (“Apac Star”), the franchisor of Tappers Café, was incorporated on 6 August 2007.

Apac Star was established following the conceptualization by its founders of a new and refreshing café concept amidst a flurry of “kopitiams” concept cafes sprouting all over the country. The concept of Tappers Café drew its inspiration from Malaysia’s colonial heritage and the popular “snack bars” of the late 60s and early 70s when Hainanese chefs whipped out irresistibly delicious local and western cuisine in a sober colonial air-cooled setting.

In early 2008, Apac Star delivered this wonderful colonial style culinary experience in modern day setting with the opening of the first Tappers Café outlet in Jaya One. Various outlets have since been established in the Klang Valley and a number of outstation locations. Not surprisingly, the concept of Tappers Café has continued to attract much interest to grow its business into many other locations.

Set in a fusion of contemporary ambience and classic colonial design with louvered windows, grooved white panels, wall pictures of the colonial era and white rattan chairs, Tappers Café serves authentic Hainanese Western fares, Western & English delights blended with an array of local favourites at affordable prices, leaving its patrons spoilt for choice.
